  I think so too, the only missing here is for someone to build an user friendly GUI that makes this trivial to do for anyone who wants it. I don't think overly complicated inheritance protocols are needed. If someone needs such a solution, they can invest money to develop something custom themselves. Overall, the more complicated it is and the more time passes the more likely it is that something will go wrong. Usually the GUI is the missing to make a lot of what is capable of more accessible to average users. Such a thing is not good, especially since we are often planning very long timelines for inheritance stuff. The criticism was already raised in that same thread. And your response over there does not really work for inheritance. 3 months of key inactivity? I have not touched my cold storage in half a decade or more, I don't even know when I touched it actually it could be much longer than that.📹

Later, however, the chain took care of itself. soft fork is more like a backwards-compatible update, accepting older networks as well. hard fork, in which the rules are so incompatible that it is no longer compatible with the previous chain. If there is no agreement then a whole new chain or separate coin is born. Segwit was a soft fork & cash was a hard fork where separate coin were released Even today if a major group want to change the rule can split again. But for it to be successful it require strong unity or consensus between miners, nodes and users. Otherwise it will just be a different cheap version like cash, nobody will want it🛂

  At the time you wrote this you said has been surging, when in reality it had came down nearly -33% from ath. So OP lied. And since OP has posted this, has came down nearly -74% from ath. This is the reason you don't trust tips from random people in the internet. Or from influencers who say they know what's coming, because they are technically random people as well desperately trying to shill you their bags. Most people don't even know they can check all the transactions of their HD wallet on explorers by simply using their xpub/zpub key. -snip- I didn't write that HD wallets re-use old addresses. I just wrote that they generate the next address and "transfer" the change to it remained after the spending. You wrote that "ECDSA can be cracked by O(n1/2) algorithms", however this could ne done ONLY if you know the public key of the address (without public key you still need 2^256 operations). You know the public key if there are outgoing transactions from the address, however in the case of HD wallets, as soon as you make the payment, the whole remained balance is transferred to new address there oublic key is unknown.
